Pastors John and Alison Larkam
Men and Women’s Ministries
Pastors John and Alison are so grateful to have the honor and privilege of serving the loving congregation of Impact Family Church and helping people walk with Jesus and fulfill their destiny in Him. They have been married since November 21, 1987 and enjoy serving the Lord together in the ministry leading Impact Family Church and spending time with their family in the great outdoors with their black lab, Westin.
For as long as he can remember, Pastor John has had a heart for God. His Dad led him to the Lord when he was a mere child and at bedtime, would read the bible and modern-day testimonies of miracles and healings.
Pastor John was born in and grew up in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA before beginning work for Transamerica Corporation and relocating to Dallas, Texas, where everything changed. On Sunday morning, January 19, 1986, Pastor John fully surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at church in Dallas. That evening, he was baptized in the Holy Spirit and he also met Alison, his lovely wife. A week later, he was water baptized. The church was in a state of revival at the time with nationally and internationally known ministers visiting regularly and teaching on prayer, righteousness, faith, healing, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, evangelism, deliverance, how to be led by the Holy Spirit, walking in the God-kind of love, the authority of the believer, missions and prosperity for the whole person among other foundational truths. It was there that Pastor John began to recognize the call of God on his life and he left his job at Transamerica, where he had become a top national producer, and began working full-time in the ministry.
Pastors John graduated from World Harvest School of Ministry in Temecula, CA and was ordained into the ministry in September, 1991. He is also a graduate of the National Institute of Christian Leadership (NICL). Pastor John served on the board of Fresh Oil Fellowship before its founder tragically lost his life in a plane crash. Today, Pastor John is a member of Fellowship of Ministers International (FMI- Tulsa, OK), a ministerial association promoting the teaching and preaching of the uncompromised Word of God, the move of the Holy Spirit, and worldwide missions. Pastor John was also offered ordination to Rhema Ministerial Association International (RMAI) and is a member of the Association of Related Ministries International (ARMI).
Pastor John shares God’s Word with boldness, passion, and simplicity and his preaching and teaching are often accompanied by a strong healing anointing and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Alison was born in El Paso, Texas and graduated from San Diego State University with a BSN. After passing her State Board Exams and working as a Registered Nurse, she laid aside her nursing career to walk alongside Pastor John as they pioneered World Harvest Outreach Church together and raised their two beautiful daughters, Catherine and Stephanie. Pastor Alison then returned to nursing and worked as an Assistant Director of Nurses (ADON) to help fund college tuitions while continuing to serve Impact Family Church with a heart of compassion for the lost and the desire to reach the Austin metropolitan area with the love of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Alison graduated from World Harvest School of Ministry in Temecula, CA and was ordained into the ministry in March, 1992. She is a member of Fellowship of Ministers International (FMI- Tulsa, OK), a ministerial association promoting the teaching and preaching of the uncompromised Word of God, the move of the Holy Spirit, and worldwide missions. She is also a member of the Association of Related Ministries International (ARMI).
Pastor Alison has a true servant’s heart. She is moved with compassion for the lost and the hurting both in and outside of church, and can be found ministering to, praying for, and encouraging people most everywhere. She exhorts and preaches with passion and ministers to the sick through the laying on of hands.
